St. Symeon the Stylite of the Wondrous Mountain

Giving thanks to God for the recent election of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, we, the clergy of the Southern Deanery of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America, pray that God will guide him and continue to bless his archpastoral ministry.

We wish to voice our agreement with the recent resolution of the Northern Deaneries of our Diocese and would add that in addition to giving priority to the education and preparation of our clergy and the encouragement of religious vocations among the youth of our Church, we would also ask that the broader issue of the religious education of the youth and laity in general be given renewed focus and attention, and also that our bishops address our flock with instruction on moral and social issues which increasingly confront us as we see a general assault on the institution of the family and the spiritual and moral decline of the culture in which we live. We need the apostolic instruction of our shepherds to guide us as we struggle to preserve and strengthen the spiritual lives of our families and parishes.

Благодаря Бога за недавнее избрание Вы�окопрео�вященней�его Митрополита �лариона, мы, клирики южных благочиний Чикаг�кой и Средне-�мерикан�кой епархии,  молим Бога, чтобы он на�тавил его и благо�ловил его архипа�тыр�кое �л�жение.

Мы хотели бы выразить на�е �огла�ие � недавним по�тановлением �еверных благочиний на�ей епархии, и добавить к нем�, что мы хотели бы, чтобы помимо об�чения и подготовки д�ховен�тва, и поощрения �тремления к д�ховным занятиям молодых членов Церкви, было обращено более при�тальное внимание на религиозное образование молодежи и мирян в более �ироком �мы�ле, и чтобы на�и архиереи обращали�ь к па�тве � на�тавлениями по моральным и �оциальным вопро�ам, которые �тановят�я в�е более о�трыми теперь, когда в на�ем обще�тве прои�ходит на�т�пление на ин�тит�т �емьи и общий д�ховный и моральный �падок.  На�им па�тырям необходимо апо�толь�кое водитель�тво, чтобы на�тавлять па�тв� в ее борьбе за �охранение и �крепление д�ховной жизни на�их �емей и приходов.
