Rectors of the Diocese:

Christ is amongst us!

Today both His Eminence Archbishop Job of Chicago (OCA) and Archimandrite Iosaph (Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad) reposed in the Lord. Fr. Iosaph’s death was not unexpected – Archbishop Job’s death was. At Bishop Peter’s instructions His Eminence and Fr. Iosaph shall be commemorated at all Divine Services in the Diocese during these 40 days (the 40th day is January 26 by the civil calendar). It would not be at all inappropriate for Rectors to contact their local OCA parishes to express their condolences.
