Bishop Peter visits St. Nicholas Parish, McKinney, TX
His Grace Bishop Peter Visits Dallas

On December 6/19, His Grace Bishop Peter visited St. Nicholas Church in Dallas, TX for its patronal feast. Fr. Deacon Gregory Norris and two subdeacons from St. Seraphim's Cathedral (OCA) joined us to assist with the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy. During the Liturgy, His Grace ordained Reader Nicholas Park to the holy diaconate.

After the service the sisterhood hosted a festive meal for the faithful and the parish children performed a small pageant, singing “O Who, Who loves Nicholas the Saintly” and performing an adaptation of the folk tale “The Great Enormous Turnip.”

In the afternoon, Bishop Peter toured our new temple, which is in the process of being built, with planned occupancy in the spring or possibly late winter.

It was festive and joyous occasion for all.
