Russian Orthodox Cross restored at Rock City Cemetery

By the generosity of Ed and Cathy Suchoski, the Russian Orthodox Cross at Rock City Cemetery near Vladimirovo (Lost Lake) has been lovingly restored.  The cross, which was severely weathered, was removed, completely sand blasted and repainted.  Afterward, Andrew Pregl and Larry Korsh donated their time to reinstall the cross on a new base at the cemetery.  The work was completed on December 10, 2011.

There is currently an opportunity to purchase more land for the Orthodox section of Rock City Cemetery.  This serene spot is located in Illinois, one hundred miles west of Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral, and only minutes away from the village of Vladimirovo and St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Church.  If there are any families interested in purchasing plots, please contact the diocesan offices.

Thanks to Andrew Pregl of Cedarville, IL for this information and photos!
