Celebration at St. Sava School of Theology
Bishop Peter and his guests attend the annual celebration at St. Sava School of Theology in Libertyville, IL

On Saturday, February 4, His Grace Bishop Peter traveled north to Libertyville, IL, to participate in the annual celebration at the St. Sava School of Theology of the Serbian Orthodox Church.  He was joined by His Grace Bishop John of Caracas and South America, Archimandrite Avraamy from Edinburgh, Scotland and Hierodeacon Innokenty (Reichert) from Texas.

Four hierarchs concelebrated Divine Liturgy: His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica and Midwestern America and His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America, Dean of the St. Sava School of Theology served together with our archpastors Bishop Peter and Bishop John.

Vladika Peter was very much taken by the singing of the all-male seminary choir, which brought back pleasant memories of his days as a student at the Theological Faculty of Belgrade.

After Liturgy, Vladika and his guests were treated to a festive meal at the school hall, where the students and faculty presented a program in honor of the school's patron saint, St. Sava of Serbia.

We thank our Serbian Orthodox brethren for their gracious hospitality, and pray for God's help to all who teach and study in the footsteps of St. Sava!

Glory be to God in all things!
