Fr. Vladimir Lecko retires
On Friday, November 8, 2013 Archpriest Vladimir Lecko was presented with a Thanksgiving Gramota.  Bishop Peter awarded the gramota through Fr. Innokenty (Reichert), who presented it to Fr. Vladimir at his home, with his Matushka standing along-side.  Fr. Vladimir served the Holy Altar as a priest of the Orthodox Church in America for many years.  Several years ago the Kursk Root Icon mission of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia was founded in Weston, Wisconsin.  When the mission was left without a priest to minister to it, Fr. Vladimir, retired from his own parish by this time, served at the mission parish monthly.  The 80 mile drive each way has gotten a bit difficult with the passing years and so Fr. Vladimir has now fully retired.

From the text of the Gramota: "We call down God’s Grace upon Fr. Vladimir and thank him for his pious example of dedication and service to the Holy Orthodox Church." May the Lord reward him richly in this life and the next for his service to the Holy Church!
