Cathedral Junior Choir Participates in Concert

On Sunday, May 4th, the "junior choir" of the Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral which consisted of ten children from the parish Russian School took part in a joint concert at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Cathedral.  The concert was given on the slava (name day) of the Serbian cathedral choir - the Serbian Singing Society Branko Radichevich Choir -  whose patron saint is the Great-Martyr St. George.  At the celebratory luncheon, performances by the Russian junior choir under the direction of Natalia Gill who has been working with the children at the parish school and by the "Jr. Brankies" under the direction of Jovan Anicic delighted the audience with their enthusiasm and clear voices.  All present agreed that it was beautiful to see a new generation of singers demonstrate their talent in the spirit of pan-Orthodox cooperation between two neighboring cathedrals and agreed that this should continue to be fostered and possibly expanded among other churches in the area.
