On Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the invitation of His Grace Bishop Spyridon, almost all the Orthodox hierarchs in Chicagoland gathered at Vladyka Spyridon’s residence in the afternoon, having served Liturgy in their own parishes earlier that morning. His Grace asked to receive the hierarchs so that he could be introduced to them, while the hierarchs gathered to welcome Bishop Spyridon to his new see.

The participants in the gathering were: Metropolitan Longin (Serbian Church), Metropolitan Nicolae (Romanian Church), Archbishop Daniel (Orthodox Church in America), Bishop Dionysius (Greek Orthodox Church), and Bishop Spyridon.

The meeting took place in a spirit of brotherly support and cooperation, and this gathering was not just a dry formality. Actual programs and plans were discussed regarding how the Orthodox faithful of Chicagoland can work and collaborate for the glory of God and the good of His people, and about how the gathered hierarchs can support each other's work.

After the meeting all bid farewell, expressing the desire to continue to work together and to meet again soon to continue their joint work in the Vineyard of the Lord.
