In Eternal Memory of Archpriest Paul Karas

On Sunday evening, May 6, Archpriest Paul Karas,
retired Rector of St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Church
in Ann Arbor, MI reposed in the Lord quietly and
quickly after more than 45 years of service to the
Holy Church as a priest.

Fr. Paul was able to serve
the Divine Liturgy at St. Vladimir Church and to
partake of the Holy Mysteries on this very day, the
feast of St. George the Great Martyr, after whom Fr.
Paul’s first assigned parish was named. Fr. Paul was
the Rector of St. Vladimir parish from its
foundational years and built it into what it is today
through much labor and personal sacrifice, working a
full-time job outside the parish to support his
ministry when the parish was unable to pay him a
salary.

Please remember the newly-departed Archpriest
Paul in your prayers, as well as his wife Maria and
their children. May his memory be eternal!

Further information and photos of Fr. Paul's funeral.
