The Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God will visit the Diocese of Chicago & Mid-America from March 12, 2009 to April 8, 2009.  Due to the short duration of the icon’s stay in the Diocese it will not travel throughout the Diocese to various parishes, but rather will reside at the Diocesan Cathedral of the Protection of the Mother of God and be present at all services there with one exception.  When His Grace Bishop Peter visits the St. Sergius Cathedral in Cleveland on March 14-15, 2009 the icon will accompany him and be present at the Vigil the evening of March 14, Divine Liturgy the morning of March 15, and the General Unction service the evening of March 15.
